Astronomia Nova Association and University of Applied Sciences in Tarnow
invite you to the 5th edition of the international conference
MEET THE SPACE
under the honorary patronage of:
Polish Space Agency and the Mayor of Tarnów and the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Voivodeship.
After a year’s break, we meet in Tarnów for the 5th edition of the MEET the SPACE conference. The conference is a response to the visible, dynamic trend of space technology development in Poland over the last few years. The event will allow for the exchange of experiences among people involved in the realization of the eternal dream of humanity, which is space exploration.
The MEET the SPACE conference is a scientific forum that enables the presentation of the latest Polish and foreign research achievements and experiences in the field of space research and exploration to both people with extensive experience and those who are just taking their first steps in this field. The knowledge conveyed in an accessible way will be divided into four thematic sessions: Near Space, Rocket Technology, Observation of Space and Near-Earth Space, and Manned Space Flights.
The main objective of the MTS is to discuss and exchange experiences on various issues covering rocket technology, stratospheric balloon flights, satellite imaging, astronomical observations, manned space flight research and many other topics related to space technologies and research.
The choice of Tarnów as the conference venue is related to the tradition of this city in terms of openness to matters of space. This tradition has not only been reflected in the coat of arms of Tarnów, but is constantly being created in reality, mainly by Father Professor Michał Heller, a Tarnów resident, an outstanding thinker of our times. We hope that the conference will result in better use of the potential of the inhabitants of the Tarnów region for space ventures.
The conference will be held on the campus of the Tarnów University on May 29-30, 2025, in the Jan Szczepanik Hall – an outstanding Tarnów inventor and visionary (ul. Mickiewicza 8, Building C, room 017).
Abstracts of the papers will be published in the Tarnów Academy journal “Science, Technology and Innovation”. Full versions of the conference contributions will be published in “Annales Astronomiae Novae” or in “Science, Technology and Innovation”. We are counting on your comprehensive conference contributions and we leave the choice of the journal to the Authors.
Please send applications for conference papers/posters/stands including topic/authors/affiliations/short summary to the e-mail address: meetthespace@atar.edu.pl or bogdan.wszolek@gmail.com by May 10, 2025.
